Korea Wireless Power Forum is the technology to deliver power without wires between power and instruments or systems and consists of various technological systems including self-induction, resonance, and electromagnetic wave radiant systems.

Wireless power is unfamiliar to you but this technology has been attempted 100 years ago. It is still in its
infancy because of various technological limits. But the fields that this technology will be applied to will be
expected to be endless. The products which applied the wireless power technology to mobile devices like
smart phones have been now released. And as the scope has been expanded to home appliances, robots,
medical instruments, and railroads, the high demand will be expected in all the fields. So it is in the limelight as the promising futuristic technology.

Therefore, Korea Wireless Power Forum will prepare the stable groundwork of the wireless power technology
and the related industries by promoting various study activities of the frequency, laws and systems, service,
and standards related to wireless power and vitalize it as its main purpose.

I saw a lot of cases that the new technologies which achieved recognition as the promising ones received setbacks in when they developed due to lack of technical skills and exposure of uppermost limit. Industrial
economics and value of the wireless power technology was enough recognized. But its studies and
development will continue to be required. I think that the forum’s role is important because the wireless power
technology needs improvement of current status including development of additional technologies for low
efficiency, the toxic properties of human bodies, and suitability of electromagnetic waves and laws and
systems according to it.

In the future, Korea Wireless Power Forum will make every effort to carry out various studies of the related
fields, develop technological standards and service to lead the world with the Korean technologies, and
propose new paradigms of the new world by cooperating with the industries and the academic world, the
